Changing the climate.
Approaches.
PCIT
Parent Child Interaction Therapy.
If you're a parent navigating your own trauma recovery, this approach helps you understand how your patterns might be showing up in your parenting—and gives you concrete strategies to break cycles. PCIT-informed coaching isn't about "fixing" your kids. It's about helping you show up differently, which changes everything.
We'll work on your nervous system regulation, communication patterns, and the skills that actually work with real kids in real situations. Because healing yourself and parenting with intention go hand in hand.
EMDR.
Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing
EMDR is for adults ready to actually process trauma instead of just managing it. It works by targeting how traumatic memories are stored in your brain, allowing you to access and reprocess them in a safe, controlled way. This isn't talk therapy about what happened—it's neurologically informed work that helps your brain finally file away what's been stuck.
I'm trained in this approach because it works. The research backs it up. And when you're ready to stop carrying your past like dead weight, this is the tool that makes real change possible.
DBT.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
DBT teaches skills for managing intense emotions, building distress tolerance, and staying present when things get hard. I use DBT-informed techniques alongside EMDR to give you practical tools while we're doing the deeper reprocessing work.
Think of it this way: EMDR handles the trauma itself. DBT-informed skills keep you stable and grounded in the present moment. Together, they create the conditions for lasting change—not just surviving the week, but actually building a life that feels sustainable.
